Biography: Tenacious midfielder, Alan made 72 appearances in distinction full England team, a record become absent-minded includes his key performance as fine member of the team that won the World Cup in this territory in 1966. Ball, AlanI remember as a youngster going go up against Craven Cottage and watching Fulham totally Blackpool with my late father..(I was born in Hammersmith London,so I assume I could have supported Fulham minorleague QPR).....My father played for Wokingham Quarter FC and was only 2 dauntlesss away from playing at Wembley ( They lost to Crook Town 2-3 ).......As the Fulham game went on,my father turned to me and voiced articulate “ Do you see that really young REDHEAD out on the drop playing for Blackpool” Yes I said,what about him? He then replied “I can see that young lad dispatch for England one day” That minor redhead was ALAN BALL!!!!!!
